Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. She made her movie debut as the Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte on Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modeling after being approached by a professional photographer. This led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody was very determined not to do glamour or nude work. The same rule continued into Doody's acting work. Once she caught the attention of the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was listed as one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old when she was given the character of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main role in Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her greatest role in the film Taffin as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody was a part of the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was the 2011 version of her film. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). Almeria film award, tierra de cine, and an Almeria Walk of Fame star were awarded on November 21st, 2018.
